Borden Powdered Milk Plant

The Fayetteville/Lincoln Country Museum is located in the former Borden Powdered Milk Plant which dates back to WWII and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The plant played a significant role in the country during its operation. The current museum features the history of the plant and Lincoln County along with a multitude of artifacts. Arcspace Studio was tasked with developing a restoration plan for one of the unused wings of the plant that had fallen into disrepair due to storm damage. Once the restoration plan was completed and approved by the State Historic Commission, Arcspace Studio developed restoration drawings and worked with a local builder to make the wing watertight. The wing is designed to eventually house exhibits and be used as a community event space.
