MSWA Phase IV Addition

Madison Street Wealth Advisors has been operating out of an office conversion of one of downtown Huntsville’s oldest homes. Arcspace Studio designed an addition on the back side of the building several years ago but the advisory firm continued to grow, soon outgrowing that addition. Three principal offices were needed as well as a conference room that could support the entire staff and an accessible restroom. The interior spaces borrowed from the rich materials and character of the existing building. Careful attention was given not only to the interior spaces but to the exterior as well. The addition extends almost to the sidewalk yet manages not to feel imposing. A ramp for accessibility was added which wraps and defines a large and well-landscaped bed. The existing front entry remains but is shifted toward the addition. The goal was to provide a cohesive addition that did not look or feel like an addition, but rather felt as though it had always been there.
