SciQuest Madison
Sci-Quest, a hands-on science center, embarked on an ambitious adaptive reuse project, which involved moving their science center to the site of a former strip mall grocery store. With client, munipal, and public engaugement, Arcspace Studio turned the vacant building into a dynamic series of spacial experiences for its visitors. it was designed to inform, educate, and entertain visitors of all ages. The façade was to become a background for the signage and a window into the science center. The revitalization of the space was designed to meet LEED silver or gold standards. Regrettably Sci-Quest was forced to close its doors, leaving a void for a child focused STEM (or STEAM) hands-on learning museum in the area.
