The Hindu Cultural Center of North Alabama is fundamentally designed as two separate buildings in one. The lower level is primarily a community hall, where weddings and other secular activities are performed. It contains a large gathering hall and support spaces. The upper floor is the Prayer Hall and its support spaces. The Prayer Hall is accessed by ceremonial steps on the east. Chambers for three deities are placed on the west end, facing east. Other deities line the north and south walls. A plaza surrounds the entire Prayer Hall. Indian artesian have sculpted the towers and will eventually sculpt the walls as well. This part of the work is still in progress.
